- Pour liquid in 4 ramekins.
- Bake for 25min at 400F in a bain-marie until creme is set but trembling in the middle. Time depends on thickness of the crème brûlée.
- Refrigerate for two hours.
- Remove from fridge 30 min before serving. Sprinkle sugar on top and melt with a torch.
While Crème Brûlée may be thought of as a fancy restaurant dessert, it can be made at home. For the richest flavor, though, I suggest using cream only. I'm adding Creme Brulee to my list of recipes that looks fancy and sophisticated (that caramelized sugar topping! To check, gently sway the roasting tin and if the crème brûlées are ready, they will wobble a bit like a jelly in the middle. This crème brûlée recipe is easy to make.
