  2. Get 1 tsp salt

  7. Take 1 onion chopped
  8. Prepare 2-3 green chillies chopped

  12. Make ready 2 tbsp oil
  13. Prepare 2 tbsp farsan/chanachur

  1. Wash flattened rice/poha rice 2 -3 times properly… add 1/2cup water to the bowl of poha rice n leave for 3 mins… then drain water in a strainer n spread properly with hands… u wl get soft n fluffy poha by this time… then add salt, turmeric powder n sugar to it… mix gently with the hands…steam for 3 mins by covering with a lid…(the water from the steamer should not touch the poha rice.
  2. Then in a kadhai heat oil… add mustard seeds n let it splutter…then add chopped onions n fry till it becomes translucent, then add curry leaves, chopped green chillies, fennel seeds, sprinkle some salt n turmeric powder n mix well.. then add the steamed poha to it, turn off the flame…. mix well..
  3. In a plate/bowl serve poha, sprinkle some jiravan masala n garnish with some finely chopped onions, chopped coriander, pomegranate n some farsan with peanuts…. drizzle some lemon juice (optional)
