Instructions to make Amritsari Chole:
  1. Soak the Chana for 8 hours or overnight in water.
  2. Put it in the pressure cooker, add a salt and the tea bag along with the water.
  3. Pressure cook the chana for about 35 to 40 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Meanwhile make the Amritsari Chole Masala Powder.
  5. Preheat a pan on a medium flame and add all the spices and ingredients.
  6. Roast all of them on medium flame for about 5 minutes until you get.
  7. Allow it to cool down then add the roasted chole masala spices into a mixer grinder and blend to make smooth powder.
  8. Add ghee to a pan over medium heat and add the onion, ginger. saute until the onion softens.
  9. Now add the masala, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder and kala namak.
  10. Add the cooked chana into the chole masala. Stir well to mix.
  11. Cover the pan and sim the Amritsari Chole Masala for 15 minutes.
