Ragu Consistency & Making ahead: The Ragu shouldn't be watery and there shouldn't be an excessive amount of sauce. We took a couple shortcuts for this traditional lasagna recipe by using store-bought marinara and boxed pasta sheets. It saves a ton of time without sacrificing any flavor. Steps to make Lasagne:
  1. Mix egg with ricotta parsley and salt to taste. Put in Fridge
  2. Fry onions on low heat until tiny and browned. Add garlic.
  3. Soak noodles in hot water for 30 minutes
  4. Add beef and brown. Drain oil if any.
  5. Add tomato paste and red pepper flakes and garlic and cook for 2 more minutes.
  6. Add wine/broth tomatoes, basil, oregano. Simmer for 15 minutes to 45 minutes…. Up to you. Might need to add some tomato sauce if it's too dry.
  7. Assemble. Meat sauce, then noodles. Then ricotta, sprinkle mozerella, meat sauce, parm (option). Repeat 2x then top with meat sauce and moz and parm cheese.
  8. Cover with tin foil and bake
