Chocolate Yogurt Mousse Tart is like chocolate heaven; a treat for all chocolate lovers!!! This is so chocolaty that you would you go bonkers after each bite craving for more and more. This post was supposed to go live on Thursday as per my schedule of posting every Tuesday and Thursday but then. This chocolate mousse tart was made for my dad's birthday - craving something different than his usual chocolate and peanut butter combination, he requested "a chocolate-something with some sort of coconut crust, maybe with strawberries and mango on top." I interpreted that, and came up with this.
Instructions to make Tart with choclate mousse #Foodies&Friends:
- Place the flour, sugar, and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer, or in a medium mixing bowl
- Add butter and pulse until mixture becomes crumbly and resembles coarse meal
- Add egg and vanilla extract and keep pulsing until the dough is no longer dry and starts to clump together, about 10-15 seconds
- Flatten ball slightly with your hands to form a thick disc. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Take dough out of the fridge and let it sit on the counter for a few minutes to soften slightly for easy rolling. On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough out into an 11-inch circle, then place gently into a 9-inch tart pan(preferably with a removable bottom); you can do this by flouring a rolling pan and rolling the dough loosely around it, then unrolling it into the pan. Brush away any excess flour on the surface. With a sharp knife, trim the edges of the pastry to fit the tart pan.
- Then cut it half from the centre n take out one half part. Prick by fork.
- Bake for about 10 minutes longer until golden brown and dry. Then let cool completely.
- For choclate mousse: Place cocoa, sugar, espresso powder, flour, and salt into large saucepan. Mix thoroughly.
- Add 1 cup of heavy cream. and stir until all dry ingredients are mixed well. Beat egg yolks. Pour small amount of chocolate mixture into egg yolks and mix thoroughly. Add egg-chocolate mixture back into pudding mixture, stirring continuously. Add vanilla. Continue to heat until pudding is thickened. Allow pudding to cool completely. - - Prepare whipped cream. Fold 1 cup of whipped cream into cooled chocolate mixture. - - Before serving, top with whipped cream.
- Then spread thick layer of mousse on tart.
- Melt cooking choclate on Double boiler. Pour choclate into piping bag n make design on tart. Then fill strawberry syrup on 1 box n melting choclate on another n leave 1 box for mousse. Make this pattern n tart will ready.
